It looks like the Democrats will insist on these new government entanglements that will only weaken our economy in the long term.

It is disappointing that my congressman, Ron Kind (D-La Crosse), refuses to listen to the common sense approach of letting American taxpayers keep the money that they earn so they can have the power to strengthen the economy through natural economic behavior.

This government approach did not work for F.D.R. and it will not work for President Obama.

Stimulus bill has $4.3 billion for Wisconsin

The House version of a federal economic stimulus bill would deliver more than $4.3 billion to Wisconsin over the next two years, under details of the bill released Friday.

Throughout the election several Republicans were warning Americans about the very things that Dick Morris is outlining in his recent column, a portion of which is copied below with a link to the full piece. His predictions are very likely to become a reality now that President Obama and a Democrat controlled Congress are working together. Couple that with the Pelosi-Reid policy of suppressing Republican debate and one could make the case that our system of government is becoming more authoritarian than ever before.
