House Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan (WI) today introduced a comprehensive alternative to the fiscal year 2010 budget proposed by the President and Democratic Majority. In stark contrast to the Obama plan, the House Republican budget alternative will get spending and deficits under control – without raising taxes – and ensure America can prosper in the future.

Ryan issued the following the statement:

I was privileged to attend a small gathering with Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker today in La Crosse.  He outlined his vision for the future as he prepares for his upcoming State of the County address.  I'm very impressed with this man.  Instead of boring us with tired rhetoric he provided some excellent ideas for ways that he plans to help his county overcome the economic downturn we're all feeling today.

...but instead we have a congressman who simply talks the talk and then does the D.C. two-step. God Bless Paul Ryan on the right side of the state for actually making sense and representing common sense in the United States Congress.

I was just on a conference call with Senator Jim DeMint and over 10,000 other concervatives from around the nation to discuss the "stimulus" that is being debated in the senate.  It is so refreshing to know that there are still a few principled Republicans in the congress like Senator DeMint.  He did an excellent job of outlining his conservative, common sense ideas with regard to the economy. He said that he knows in his heart that doing nothing would be a much better approach than passing the bill they have in front of them today.
