Conference Call with Senator Jim DeMint

I was just on a conference call with Senator Jim DeMint and over 10,000 other concervatives from around the nation to discuss the "stimulus" that is being debated in the senate.  It is so refreshing to know that there are still a few principled Republicans in the congress like Senator DeMint.  He did an excellent job of outlining his conservative, common sense ideas with regard to the economy. He said that he knows in his heart that doing nothing would be a much better approach than passing the bill they have in front of them today.

A lot of other people who are much smarter than me have written about what a boondoggle this "stimulus" bill is.  It is a joke and simply an excuse for liberal Democrats to spend billions of our dollars on their pet projects.

I urge you to call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and tell your senators to vote no on this bill.  Tell them that freedom is the best solution and that the best way to fix the economy is for the federal government to get their dirty fingers out of it.
