Tara Johnson - Coulee Region Marxist/Socialist

I want you to hear what today's Marxists sound like so here's a clip of Tara Johnson who was recently interviewed on a local radio show. My understanding of Marxism is that it is a political philosophy of highlighting the "struggle between the classes" and pitting them against each other to essentially divide and conquer. As we saw in the evil Soviet Union, Marxism can be used to exploit the down-trodden where-as capitalism seeks to elevate the poor (through hard work and education) to a higher social status.

Marxist ideology assumes that if you're poor, you will always be poor and that is simply not true in the greatest nation on Earth. Listen to her "divide and conquer" rhetoric for yourself.

I'm deeply offended by Tara's attitude. I grew up in southwestern Wisconsin near Kieler and just across the river from Dubuque. Everyone I knew was a "have not" according to Tara's description but many of us chose paths that have elevated our social status. For her to insinuate that people who can't afford healthcare will always be stuck in that status is offensive.

Also, she makes it sound like it's a sin to rally around our friends and family in their time of need. For her information, many, many, of us NEVER rely on the government in our times of need. We first seek help from our families, our friends, our churches, and our neighbors. That is what makes us a great nation. Her solution of the government taking over this role (as they have done in many other areas) will destroy the closeness that we have with our friends, families, and communities. Her cold-hearted, bureaucratic solution will eliminate the warmth and unity that is created when we help our friends and families and communities in their times of need.

There was a time in this nation when we knew all of our neighbors and their children and we felt a duty to help them whenever necessary. We even scolded their children when they got out of line and walked over to have a word with their parents so they could discipline them accordingly. Because our country has already traveled so far down the Socialist path we no longer have that kind of closeness and unity in our neighborhoods. "Why should I bother when a government agency will take care of them?" That's the kind of attitude that socialism has created in our country. Government needs to get the hell out of our lives so we can build up the close relationships and sense of duty to one another that our country had before and during World War II.
